Return to Winning Ways

After lasts weeks defeat in the top of the table clash Long Wittenham Athletic Clubs 1st team played hosts to Botley United. Goals from Tim Barton, Mark Ingram, Andy Taylor and Stave Molloy wrapped up another 3 points to leave the 1st team in 2nd place, level on points with fellow promoted team Childrey United.
The Sunday Team were knocked out of the B&B Junior Trophy by FC Whiley. The Sunday side will be hoping for better performances in the league after this 5-0 defeat.

Wittenham will travel to AFC Benson for the only game in Division Two this weekend. Victory over mid-table team Benson would see Wittenham move to within a point of division pace-setters Harwell International.
The Reserve team are back in action this week, playing hosts to Benson Lions Reserves. Benson won the reverse fixture 5-1 last month but after last weeks victory over Saxton Reserves Wittenham will be keen to exact revenge and kick-start their own league campaign.
The Sunday side are away to Punchbowl Pirates this week. The Pirates sit in third place in the Division to make this another tough game for Wittenham.
